NYLX’s origin dates back to 1998 when automated loan pricing was in its infancy. It started when NYLX's founder, Howard H. Conyack Jr., developed a software system for his mortgage company that gave Realtors the ability to originate mortgage applications in accordance with federal RESPA regulations. In 2003, Howard shifted the focus of the organization from mortgage company operations to a data management and software provider specializing in advanced eligibility and pricing systems for mortgage originators. Within three years, NYLX became the dominant provider in the industry, out-performing original expectations.
